SHORT AND SWEET
This Past Weekend – AWESOME and AMAZING!!!!
Our House – Progress continues and Excitement is building.
Moving – Probably next week…overwhelming? I think so!
Lessons – Learning to slow down and protect ourselves from burnout
Our New Believer – Still faces many trials
Ministry – Continues to be busy, but exciting
Visitors and Vacation are Coming – Only 22 more days!!!
I had to get a new computer this week because my other one died and could not be repaired reliably. I was so glad to be able to get your newsletter.
It is such a blessing to hear about all that is going on where you are. Eight baptisms, what a gift from the Lord!!! Thank you for the pictures. They help me to remember to pray–for your family–for what is going on in Senegal–for those newly baptized and for your new believer.
Now I have a question. Yesterday, I needed a special injection in my back. The doctor who did it is Joseph Paul Stapleton. He is a Christian, and every year in February, he goes to Haiti on a short term medical mission. I’m just curious if Joel’s parents know him.
Hugs, and the Lord’s blessings to all or you and Katie too.

THIS is fantastic! Baptisms are such moving times – I am moved just seeing the pictures. I pray they are encouraged in their young faith, mentored well, and that they go forth in joy despite hardships that come. Praise God!!!
I have thought so much about your new believer this week. I have asked people in my AZ church and in my Bible Study to be in prayer for him. Last week we saw a video put out by Voice of the Martyrs about how some are persecuted–tortured– for their faith. I am amazed at the strength they have and how much they suffer for their faith. Lord, keep me strong. I pray that your new convert isn’t suffering like those in the video but whatever he is facing we are praying for him. I’m praying that his faith will remain strong and that he will have someone to help him understand the word. Tell him that we are encouraging him from here.

God is so good. Thank you for reminding us of how much we need to pray and that we have much to praise God for. Love you!
Praise the God whose Word never returns void. Eight baptisms. Amazing! Astounding! The work of the Sovereign God of the universe.
Love,
Dad
What a lot of good news! Praise God! I can’t wait to see your new house when you’re all moved in. And looking forward to vacation and visitors is such a treat…so thankful for the blessings for you. (-:
