Wolof….Ready or Not Here We Go

January 14, 2013 by Joel and Andi

Today we start our next language.  The first month of a new language is always the hardest.  The process of building a foundation for a new language is very exhausting.  We are excited to learn one more language through which we can share God’s truth with, but not looking forward to all the work that goes along with that.  We are hoping in a year to be nearing the end of our language study and to transfer into full time ministry.  However that will require a lot of work on our part, so pray with us as we jump one more time.

Just a little proof of why we need to work on our Wolof…

I will make this an item of prayer! God is your strength – He will not fail!

Andrea and Becca spoke on the phone for hours on Saturday, so we sat as a family at dinner yesterday and just listened to all the news from her. We’re so proud of you all, and can’t wait to see how God keeps leading and using you.

You’re just doing an incredible job by doing so many little things that keep you filing a gap that no one else is filling. We’re praying for you and cheering.

    Ken

I am very proud of you all. And it seems like a lot of ministry is going on already. Imagine what it will be like when “full time ministry” starts. 🙂 May God continue to bless and empower all that comes from faith!!

    Love,
    Dad

Wow, how exhausting to barely master one language and then be thrown into learning a whole other one! I will be praying for you guys. Mom told me how good your guys French is. 🙂 Way to go! I love you guys and can’t wait to see you all sometime soon.
