Coming into Holy week I was battling discouragement. We have been working on language now for a year and half and yet we are still climbing that mountain. We have a very high level of language fluency to reach and there are times that I wonder if it is possible. I know that we are making progress, but I am painfully aware of how far I still have to go. Some days it is hard to find the strength to keep pushing forward.
Yet God is always faithful to meet me in those times of discouragement. This past week, during my language sessions, we looked closely at the days before Jesus’ death. It was so good to be reminded what our Lord went through to reunite us with God. But then, most importantly, to celebrate the fact that we serve a living God! It reminded me of the song…
“Because he lives I can face tomorrow!
Because he lives all fear is gone!
Because I know he holds the future and life is worth the living just because he lives!”
That is how I went into Easter celebrating the fact that our Redeemer Lives.
Pray with us this week
For perseverence in the language study

I too have had some discouraging times lately. Thanks for the reminder that yes He lives and we can face tomorrow. I love that song. Keep moving forward one day one step at a time. God give them the strength to keep going.
