The second trip took Joel traveled to the North of the country. The people group they were looking into was a large people group who has been pretty resistant to change. It is a different type of work for us as an organization since they are less isolated and more spread out, but at the same there is a great need among them. It made the research a little more challenging as they are spread out and there is so much you could look into. However the goal of this was to just get a small picture and to meet with contacts that are already working there to hear more about their work and the need. However God was faithful in directing this trip and helping them to get a good picture of what the needs are and a better idea of the context in which these people live.
Here are a few pictures for you…

Thanks so much for sharing. Will definitely be praying for God’s wisdom and direction! Praying that you are all well! Miss you! God bless and keep you!

I love the colors and the smiles. I was touched by the starved look of the cattle. How desperate they look. I pray the people are faring better than the animals. When I saw your photo of the ‘automatic’ faucet I was reminded of how spoiled and privileged we are. I also enjoyed the photo of the horse drawn carriage. How little we appreciate our blessings.
I pray for you and all your family and coworkers as you travel to places and peoples we can only vaguely understand through your blog and your photos. May God bless you and keep you safe.
