What if things were different?

January 5, 2013 by Joel Potter

What if this past year, the Christmas season had only meant just presents, trappings, lights, and had no significance beyond that? Or what if you lived like millions of people, out of the reach of the reason for Christmas? Christmas wouldn’t even be on your radar. It’s likely that all of you will experience the richness of realizing that we can celebrate the birth of God’s promised solution, His redeemer, during these next few weeks! Don’t take that for granted. There are too many people who have yet to celebrate Christmas for the first time.

What if this next year, Christmas was celebrated by taking God’s Word at it’s face value; like when He says in 2nd Corinthians, that since Jesus Christ DIED for all of us, we are to LIVE for Him? How would that change what you do to celebrate Christmas? Maybe this coming year, it means DEEPENING your understanding of His word. Or maybe it means GOING and serving where you’re most needed. Or maybe it means INVESTING more of your resources into His work. We pray that you seriously consider what God has saved you for!
