Update on Kate

September 8, 2014 by Joel Potter

Processed with VSCOcam with a3 presetIts been amazing to have so many of you stop us in the halls or email and ask how Kate is doing!

Thank you for praying for her!

The latest is this: She’s mostly recovered from the bout of strep throat and the strain of influenza she contracted. We’ll have another round of blood tests tomorrow to determine if the levels that we’re so out of the ordinary last week have returned to normal.

If they have, we can start exploring the ways to treat the most likely diagnosis for other symptoms, a recurrent Fever disorder. This disorder can cause, to a “T” the monthly headaches, fever and vomiting.

If the blood-work doesn’t show any improvement and her white blood cell count remains depleted, we have more research and a possibly more dangerous diagnosis looming.

Please continue to pray
