Behold…

December 23, 2020 by Joel Potter

As we walked through this year, it oftentimes felt like we were traipsing through a wilderness, hopelessly lost. Sort of like we could see evidence of life the way it used to be, but we had a sense that it wouldn’t be the same again. But, there were also SO MANY REMINDERS that our God had not left us alone in this wilderness.

2017, Roberts MT, J. Potter

He was, as He always has been and always will be, faithful to the creation He gave His Son to redeem. He made many ways through wild places in order to give us hope, the chance to help others, and opportunities to peer into His face.

Emmanuel means “God with Us” and that was name given to Jesus, the Son of God, whose birth we celebrate this week. God with us is how we made it through this wilderness of a year.

We’re grateful for your company as we walked and we wish you a Merry Christmas and many moments to be amazed by the God who is with us!
If you had the chance to receive one of our prayer cards, you might have gotten a note in it with the words that are captured in this song by Andrew Peterson, “Behold the Lamb of God”. This is well worth the watch!
