Home…

June 21, 2012 by Joel Potter

20120621-215548.jpgFor many of you, it’s been clear from our posts on FaceBook that we made it here to Florida. It’s been a little over a week since we arrived and wow, the work that has taken place making this house into home!

We left Michigan on Sunday the 10th and thankfully had a very calm trip down here. After a robust turnout of friends who came to our house to load up our moving trucks, we hit the road exhausted two days later.

Two days after that found us soaked in sweat as we began the adjustment to life in Florida! We worked in our house for a couple of days before the moving trucks arrived and then with the help of maybe 18 of our new co-workers and soon to be friends, unloaded the trucks!

It’s been a week now of unpacking and settling in and honestly, the process is going well but not without it’s challenges.

Parenting and loving on our kids takes much intentionality! Please pray with us for this need. We’re also working hard to get things settled enough for me to start my new ministry near the beginning of July. The pace we’re keeping in order to do that is stretching and we’re pretty tired. You can pray that our energy and health holds up!
