Seeking God’s Will

September 5, 2019 by John and Melanie Kerstetter

“My desire is to somehow work with tribes in Brazil,” said Josiah, a young man that just arrived for two years of preparation at the Missionary Training Center where we work. As we talked, he wanted to learn about the needs for new missionaries in Brazil. I told him that there are roughly 250 unreached people groups in Brazil and about 125 of them are still without a missionary presence. He also wanted to know what it would be like to raise a family in Brazil because he is in a serious relationship with a girl. I reassured him that we had a good experience with raising our children in Brazil.

Josiah is just one example of the 47 new students at the MTC in Camdenton, Missouri. With varied backgrounds, each one desires to be used of God as they seek His will about going to places found around the world that are ripe and ready for the harvest. They come from a variety of regions: North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Africa.

Truly it is a tremendous privilege to be able to work alongside of each of these students as they are trained and equipped for going to the four corners of the globe. Please pray for Josiah and the other students in his class. Pray that we would have wisdom as we share our life stories and experiences with them.
