When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I arose from my bed to see what was the matter.
2006 was our 11th Christmas in the Philippines, so we didn’t really need to look to see what the clatter was. We grabbed a basket of candy and some chairs and went outside to pass out candy to the dozens of local children coming by in groups to sing Christmas carols. We had stocked up plenty of candy for giving to these young tin pan bangers. They had a good time and we enjoyed watching them have a good time. We especially enjoyed having Charles and James with us for a few weeks.
