Myrna said that she is beginning to see the importance of actually applying what she is learning in the Bible to her life. For example, regarding a soft answer turning away wrath, she said that she actually tried it and it works. Sometimes her husband gets angry, and instead of joining in with a sharp retort, she puts her hand on his shoulder and gently said, "Bo, ta."(Kind of like "There, there.") It is amazing how that diffuses the situation. Also, she remembers going to church and enjoying the singing and listening to the message, then going right out to yell at children or talk bad about people. She is realizing that she needs to apply what the Bible says about controlling her tongue. She also said that when she answers kindly, even when she feels angry, it actually makes her feel better, and her anger leaves her. Myrna encouraged the young ladies to give it a try, and see how it works for them.
