Update for the Third week of February 2016

February 14, 2016 by Jonathan and Heidi Bamford

Dear Praying Friends,

This past week the village was much quieter than usual. Many people have gone to town to enjoy the fair-like activities that happen around fiesta time. The temperature has risen to a very comfortable 70° and the coffee trees near our house have blossomed. The warm afternoon breezes bring the scent of the fragrant blossoms into the house. It is very pleasant.

One afternoon, we went for a team hike with Vicky, David and Vanessa, their children and their dogs. It was nice to have an opportunity to get out and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Vicky is gearing up to start the beginning stages of a literacy program in addition to her other ministries. David and Vanessa are making great progress on learning Isnag.

Heidi and I continue to press on with Bible lessons, translation, and getting material ready for the MP3 players. The players have been a real hit. We have heard that people have taken them all over and shared the Bible recordings with many people who we don’t normally see. We are excited about how they are being used.

Thanks for your prayers. God bless, Jonathan & Heidi
