Dear Praying Friends, We have been in a fog, literally!
Our language consultant, George, was supposed to fly out Tuesday, but in order to call the helicopter we need to be able to see the ridges. For two days we watched the ridges appear and disappear in the mist. Late Wednesday, the weather improved just enough and George was able to head home. His visit was a very helpful one for our team.
Hot season is just around the corner here in the Philippines and we will all be glad to put our umbrellas away for a while. After George left I, Jonathan, started making the change over from concentrating on lesson writing to working on Translation. I have three months’ of lessons prepared and am excited to get back to translation. Heidi had days with her language helper and has stated putting the new methods she learned into practice.
A group of believers here has gotten excited about taking Bible truth out to the outlying areas. These trips are usually at night and they end up getting back to the village quite late. For example, they got home at 2 A.M. last night. Please pray that they will stay encouraged and that they’ll have safety on the trails as they hike in the dark.
Tomorrow many of our Isnag neighbors will hike to town to mourn the passing of a very nice man that was related to a lot of people here.
We also have a quick visit from one of our pilot’s extended families later in the week. Thanks for your prayers! God bless, Jonathan & Heidi
