Dear Praying Friends,
We arrived in Manila and had three days of field leadership meetings last week. Today we have a few hours’ worth of items to cover and we are hoping to be finished by lunch time. I am glad to work with these very patient guys who have a real heart for the Lord, their co-workers, and for the people of the Philippines.
While we are in Manila we have plenty of errands to do: shopping for supplies to take back to the village, medical and dental appointments, etc. Big cities can be dangerous as well. We don’t want you to worry so we took this picture to show that many times there are plenty of security people around.
Lord willing we will go north on Wednesday and return to the village on Friday. This is a very quick trip out of the village and not much of a break, but we are rushing because we have some distinguished guests coming for a visit early next week. It is not often you get a visit from the mayor, a congresswoman, and the governor and we don’t want to miss out by not being home.
I was able to go through all the corrections my translation consultant sent for the book of Acts and have sent that document back to him again, so that is a bit of progress in that area.
The helicopter for Mindanao has arrived in port here in the Philippines. Please pray that it will be released quickly and will be able to be re-assembled without any trouble.
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
