I’ve have been teaching a evangelistic series that starts in the book of Genesis and goes into the New Testament. There are 70 lessons planned and I taught lesson 22 yesterday. The key verse was, “Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.” Genesis 15:6. It is a great verse. Heidi and I have been in the village for two months and it is time for us to go to the big city where we will help with NTM Philippines annual conference and attend leadership team meetings.
While we are sad that we won’t be here to teach for the next few weeks we are excited and happy that God’s Word is going to continue while we are absent. We are thankful for Isnag men and women who love God and his Word and are going to continue meeting while we are gone. Our visitor last week brought 20 more Bible MP3 players and Heidi worked hard to get the previous 20 and the new 20 loaded with Bible passages, Bible lessons, and songs. The people are very happy to use these players and love to listen to them as they work or relax.
Leaving means a rush of last minute things: People wanting to say goodbye, people wanting us to get something in town for them, and people wanting help getting things fixed like the old treadle Singer sewing machine in the picture above. We also have several of our own projects to finish up, so we are very aware of the clock ticking down the time the helicopter arrives to get us.
Prayer Requests:
Pray that the Isnag will grow in their love for God and his Word.
Pray that we will be a blessing during our last days here and also in town.
Pray that God will bless those who desire to continue to read and study his Word.
The Mindanao helicopter still needs its paperwork, so keep praying.
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
