Hello Friends and Family,

December 20, 2016 by Jonathan and Heidi Bamford

Update for the Third Week of December 2016

Heidi and I arrived in Washington last Thursday and were met at the airport by Tim Langan who brought gloves, scarves, and stocking caps to help us make the transition from the tropics to the land of ice and snow.

We had two nights in Mike and Claire Long’s house before going to Oregon to meet our children.

Along the way we met up with Abby and her friend, Jacob.  Abby spent time with us in the village last year.

After that we picked up Carrie at the airport in Portland and went to the Oregon coast to meet up with the rest of our children and our new daughter-in-law, Emily.  Emily is a treasure and we are enjoying getting to know her.  [From right to left- Emily, Thomas, James, Carrie, Charles, Heidi, and Jonathan.]

On Saturday, we all went up to my brother Mike’s house for a Bamford Christmas gathering.  There we met our brand new grand-nephew and grand-niece along with a large part of the Bamford clan. We are very thankful for this opportunity to see our friends and family.

In the village, David, our partner, taught the Bible lesson last Sunday.  We are excited to see how he and some of the Isnag men will work together to see the church grow in understanding of God’s word.

  • Praise: Thank the Lord for the safety that we experienced as we traveled many thousands of miles.
  • Praise: We thank the Lord for how he has provided us with a place to stay and a vehicle to drive while we are here.
  • Please pray for us as we continue to travel.  We are looking forward to seeing many people over the next four weeks.

Thank you for your prayers.

God bless,

Jonathan & Heidi
