Thank you for praying for our pilot, Zach. He made his long flight down south and safely delivered a missionary family to their little island and then returned. The next day he made two flights to a village in the mountains of Northern Luzon and brought a family out to town. We appreciate Zach and we appreciate your prayers for him.
One of the things Heidi and I did this week was take some thank you snacks around to the airport to show our appreciation the folks there. This group of guys are the porters who enthusiastically greet us every time we pass through the airport. They always take good care of us.
We also got to cross paths with our partners, the Maynards. They are on their way into the village. David will be jumping into the Bible teaching while I’m gone. That is a very exciting step. The boys took time out of their busy play schedule to help Heidi make bread. She had recently introduced them to the story, The Little Red Hen. They not only learned the moral of the story, they also came back and helped her eat her bread. ☺
Heidi and I are on our way to the USA this Wednesday. Yes, we are excited to see everyone! Yes, we are afraid that we will freeze to death. We are used to a cold day being 70°. Will someone please turn up the heat before we get there?
Prayer Requests:
- Praise: You may remember praying about the damaged blades for the helicopter that is being sent to replace one of the helicopters here that needs a rebuild. A generous donor purchased new blades and the helicopter is now being prepared to be sent over.
- Please pray that David, Vanessa, and the boys will have a safe trip back to the village and adjust quickly to village life.
- Please pray for David as he begins to write lessons and teach in the Isnag language.
- Please pray that we will adjust quickly to the time and temperature change.
Thank you for your prayers!
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
