Three Reasons We had a Great Time in the Village

December 7, 2016 by Jonathan and Heidi Bamford

Update for the First week of December 2016

We had a great time in the village.  First, we enjoyed being back with our Isnag friends.

Second, we had lot to do.  Heidi worked on the end of the month records for the clinic, formatting for the Children’s Bible story book, ladies’ Bible studies, and passed out garden seeds.  I cleaned solar panels, worked on translation, got to teach two Sundays, and completed the wiring for the literacy classroom.

And third, although we will miss being in the village for Christmas, we had several groups come caroling. This year they have written several new songs in Isnag to celebrate the Lord’s coming and we love hearing them.

If you would like to hear them singing, you can listen on You Tube: https://youtu.be/ipflFo322i4

The translation of the words is: Jesus is righteous. All evil he does not like. He is the one we worship, not anything else.

Heidi and I will be wrapping a few jobs up at our flight center before heading down to Manila for our flight to the USA next week.  We would appreciate your prayers for safe travels.

Our pilot, Zach, got us out of the village a bit early so that he could make a long flight to help a missionary on a small island far south of here.  The weather is not great and there is also a lot of flying over water, so we would also appreciate your prayers for his safety.

Thank you for your prayers.

God bless,

Jonathan & Heidi
