The weather on our flight day looked promising; promising that we wouldn’t make it to the village. But, as everyone knows, the weather often breaks its promises, so we took off anyway. Indeed, it did look bad when we got to the mountains. But by flying low and following the river, our pilot made it all the way to the village. The weather, seeing that it was beaten, decided to improve and we had beautiful weather over the weekend. Thanks for praying that we would be able to return without delay. We’re happy to be home.
We are enjoying visiting with our Isnag friends on our balcony and getting settled back into village life.
While I was gone, David and Devis did the teaching on Sundays and I enjoyed watching them in action this week. This picture is of a skit portraying the blind leading the blind. It was a big hit with the audience. I’m thankful to have help in the teaching department so that I can concentrate on Bible translation.
This week marks a milestone in translation. Lord willing, later this week, my translation consultant will fly from Italy to the Philippines to check our translation of the book of Acts.
Please pray that JJ the translation consultant will be able to arrive and that the check of Acts will go smoothly.
The formatting on Heidi’s Bible story book was approved and the draft is off to the sponsoring mission for final approval. The process hasn’t gone as quickly as we had hoped, but it is moving forward. Thanks for praying.
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
