Happy New Year! We would like to share our vision for 2019, but it isn’t 20/20; some things are a bit fuzzy. We trust they will come into focus as the year progresses. It looks like we will be involved in 4 or 5 leadership meetings, 3 weddings, 2 cross-Pacific Ocean flights, and one major translation check. These three people put in many hours last week helping me get Romans ready to send back to the translation consultant. Heidi also put in many hours getting the English draft ready and it was sent off last Saturday night. We are hoping to have Ephesians ready to be sent in the next couple of weeks.
Our co-worker, David, is teaching a series through the book of Acts. While he has been gone, I taught on Jesus’ birth on the Sunday before Christmas and, on the following Sunday, I taught on how Jesus’s body was the necessary sacrifice for sins.
We have been in the village since we arrived from the USA in November, so this week we are taking some time in town to purchase supplies and have a bit of a break. Prayer Requests: Please pray for our faithfulness to follow God’s leading in 2019. Please pray for our son James and his fiancé, Molly, as they plan their wedding in October. (We hope to have a picture to share with you soon.) Please pray for the Isnag translation. Pray that the April consultant check will go well and that we will be able to make good progress on drafting more books. The book of Galatians is underway. Please pray that we will be able to complete all the paperwork necessary to get our organization here in the Philippines fully registered with the government.
Thank you for your prayers! God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
