Self-Control

December 19, 2018 by Jonathan and Heidi Bamford

Considering that here in the Philippines, Christmas seasons starts in September, I think we have shown a lot of self-control in waiting until December to start having Christmas programs.  We were doing well, but we lost it last week and had two programs. A third one is coming up in a few days.

The church Christmas program was very well attended by many who don’t normally attend meetings.  I especially enjoyed the children’s Christmas story drama.

We also had many special numbers.  This was no ‘one hour program and then home you go’ event.  Our Christmas program started with a Bible lesson and went on for 7 hours.  It was lots of fun.

Prayer and Praise:

  • We are thankful that in spite of the busy season, my language helpers have found time to help me with Romans and Ephesians.
  • I am starting the first draft of the book of Galatians.  Please pray for clear and accurate translation.
  • Please pray for my dad and his wife Martha, that they will know how to be an encouragement to Martha’s sister who is suffering through the last stages of cancer.

Thank you for your prayers!

We hope you also enjoy your Christmas,

Jonathan & Heidi
