“Make disciples of all nations.” This is a familiar command, but have you ever considered what all can be involved? There are some 3000+ language groups who have no access to the gospel. Most of these are in geographically challenged areas. Some are totally inaccessible except by foot, canoe or . . . aircraft! I spoke to a missionary recently who worked in a tribe so remote that it took over two weeks to travel to the nearest civilization. They would only leave the tribe perhaps once or twice every year, taking several natives with them, and would be gone as long as 6 weeks at a time. When they were able to build an airstrip, this travel time was cut to less than 2 hours. Someone has estimated that over the 30 years that New Tribes served in Panama, aircraft could have saved as many as 400 years of travel time. In 1 Corinthians 12, we are told that we are all members of one body, but that we all have different roles to play. No one member is more important than another, but all are necessary for the work God has called us to. Our role is to serve church planters by providing transportation by air for everything from supplies to missionary families to medical evacuations. Others may serve as supply buyers, nurses, bookkeepers, school teachers, prayer partners, supporters, faithful parents, and the list goes on. It takes the body of Christ to fulfill his call on our lives. We are grateful for all of you, and the wonderful portion of the body of Christ that we have the privilege of partnering with as we strive to fulfill the great commission.
