Thanks so much for taking the time to pray for our lives and ministries. As always, our most important request is that we each stay close to the Lord, letting the Holy Spirit guide our priorities and words. It is easy to get busy doing good things in our own strength instead.
New Tribes Bible Institute
In addition to foodservice, Ken helps lead the Thursday evening prison ministry outreach. Recently there has been a high turnover rate in the prison chaplain position, making it difficult for new students to get their clearance to be involved. There are 50+ inmates who attend. Those who do turn to Christ often experience persecution for their faith within the prison walls. Pray they would be grounded in the truths of God’s Word that would equip them to make better decisions in the future. Contact with inmates outside the class is prohibited until they are released and done with probation.
In the Childcare department, pray that families would be encouraged and strengthened. Health is always an issue with little ones, though technology provides student moms a couple different ways to listen to missed classes. Several newly-walking children are moving up into Andrea’s classroom to make room in the Nursery for new babies.
Short-term Missions Trip
Ken is excited to visit a missions location that our church here in Michigan is a part of. This summer he will accompany a medical missionary to Honduras, visit local pastors reaching out to the Lenka people group, and help with construction needs at a local seminary. Please pray for provision, reasonably-priced ticket fares, and that he could be a blessing in spite of language barriers.
Keeping in Touch
If you are ever in this area, please visit! The Bible college is only one hour from the Detroit airport and reasonably close to Toledo, Indianapolis and Chicago. Come see what God is doing in the hearts and lives of these young people!
If you know of anyone who might be interested in becoming part of our support team, please put in a good word for us. Even small amounts make a difference when part of a monthly committment. We are available to share at missions conferences in the areas of preaching, tribal missions displays, youth and children’s presentations and special music.
Have a blessed Easter season!
