Ken and Andrea Jack transitioned from Papua New Guinea to New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan, in the summer of 2007. They report that the transition has gone very well. And they are thankful for the past fourteen years of service with New Tribes Mission and how God has graciously allowed them to be involved in a variety of ways with what He is doing around the world through NTM.
The past two years have brought new opportunities in the ways they have been able to serve. Ken has been involved in the food service department for the last two years; while Andrea helped run the child care program this past semester. Ken maintains a small connection to his former ministry with the maintenance team during the summer months; he helps with projects and upkeep of the grounds when the kitchen is closed. He also enjoys going into the prison to teach with the students and teaching one elective class when the need arises for it to be taught. They are both active in teaching ministries in their local church as well.
They are looking forward to a big trip around the country this summer of 2014 to see all those who partner with them in this ministry (see 2 Corinthians 4); a student married couple will be occupying their house for the summer. Ken writes, “We are also looking forward to another semester of serving the Lord here at New Tribes Bible Institute starting in August. Our children, one of our on-going ministries, are growing up quickly: James will turn 13 in October, Christina will be 11 in July; Sarah is 8 1/2, and Samuel is 5 and starting school next year. They have been a constant joy for us, we and praise God that three of our four children have trusted Christ for salvation and are growing in Him. We pray for our little Samuel to make that choice as well.”
Please pray for them that God would use them to bring glory to His name as students go out from the Bible college to make Christ known in places around the world where the Word of God is unknown.
