It’s Official! NTM’s new name is “Ethnos360!”
With 80% of remaining unreached people groups now in countries actively opposed to Christian missionaries, we believe the new name will remove some barriers and stigmas for believers serving in these contexts. “A thriving church for every people” continues to be the core reason for our existence. (Note that “Ethnos” is the Greek word for “nations” in Christ’s great commission to “make disciples of all nations,” and “360” referrers to the degrees of a full circle.)
Please note the new address: Ethnos360 / 312 W 1st St / Sanford, FL 32771. (407) 323-3430 Ethnos360.org
The picture above is of this spring’s graduating seniors. We look forward to seeing where the Lord takes them from here. In the ten years since we transferred from New Guinea to the Bible Training College, we have been privileged to see many couples and singles leave here to “take our place” overseas. Of just those we have personally kept in touch with, six families have gone to tribes in PNG, five are in missionary support roles in the US, two families are serving overseas under other mission boards, two couples accepted church pastorates, and 11 couples and singles are missionaries to unreached people groups in other countries.
Thanks for praying . . .
1. May 27-June 3 – May 28th at 6pm – We will be speaking at Elmira Baptist Church in Northern California. We also plan to visit Andrea’s grandmother and follow up on some new contacts. (Thanks to Andrea’s parents for staying with the kids to make this quick trip possible.) Your prayers are appreciated; support-raising is part of being able to serve with Ethnos360, but we would much rather spend time doing our ministries than promoting them.
2. Sarah’s Braces and our Side Jobs – Several people have been so sweet to write and send gifts! Braces (and payment due) is set for August 16th, and now that Ken’s mowing jobs are increasing we should be able to come up with the couple hundred remaining. Andrea’s last day at the evening cleaning job will be Aug. 18th. Depending on how our support-raising goes this summer may determine whether or not she looks for something else later with different hours. At any rate, we look forward to being free to have dinner guests again and enjoy evening family times.
3. New Tribes Bible Institute – Ken finished up the last lesson on Romans at the Prison ministry outreach. Andrea has been learning the ropes from the outgoing Childcare Coordinator; and Ken will once again transition to the maintenance department for the summer months. Maintenance will be moving Deans’ offices so that the Childcare complex can be moved to the ground floor.
Until all have heard,
Kenneth and Andrea Jack
