…Kandi and Joe Tie The Knot

October 2, 2007 by NTM Blog Admin

Kandi and Joe Depue`s Wedding

September 28 dawned with a glorious sunrise and promised to be a beautiful day for a wedding in the park. Our daughter Kandi was married to Joseph Depue on Doty Island in Menasha, Wisconsin at 11 o’clock in the morning in at the Wedding Garden in the city park. There were approximately 150 guests to see them make vows before God to loves and cherish each other for life. God blessed them with a beautiful fall day, full of sunshine and flowers.

Pastor Harry Shields conducted the ceremony and also shared the couples desire to spend the next year or so working in the local church. After that they plan to enter training to become involved in tribal evangelism in Brazil.

Friends came from as far away as California and Florida to celebrate their marriage with them. Joseph is an MK (missionary kid) from Bolivia and Kandi is an MK from Brasil. There were 41 MK’s in attendance. That made it a special time for all as they not only celebrated with the bride and groom, but had a great time seeing each other. They even played a soccer game together after the wedding.

Les and I were so thankful for the many people that made the day special by all the work they put in on the decorations, plans, and food. It was a gift to us to have so many people donate time and talent to make this wedding a beautiful God honoring event. The people from the church brought food and we had a pot luck dinner at the reception as well as Bolivian and Brazilian food and beverages provided by the families of the bride and groom.

Thank you God for such a lovely wedding!
