Well, we’re almost done with the Oklahoma part of the course here. 5 out of 7 weeks are done. I still have a lot of work that I need to get done in the last two weeks. After that, we’ll be in Missouri for three weeks to finish our Cherokee write-up; but in order to do that write-up, I have to get lots of Cherokee words and phrases now.
Alisha has been making more shoes and doing various crafty things with the other wives here. There is a dollar store in Cookson, the town we are by. Alisha goes there sometimes and gets the kids special prizes. They love that. Elroy is the oldest kid here by a year and a half. He does pretty good playing with the younger kids for the most part.
The weather is starting to feel more like fall here, as I imagine it is there too. It’s too cold to sit outside in the morning sometimes, but the days are still pretty warm. Leaves are starting to fall. We look forward to coming home soon.
Praise:
-We’ve been able to save some money (as a group) by planning out cheap meals.
-Having this linguistic training will be a big help to us in Asia-Pacific.
Prayer:
-Getting all the information I need on Cherokee now, so I can do a good write-up in Missouri.
-Preparing to raise support when we come home in November.
Thanks!
–The McIlroys
