We weren’t expecting a baby until July, but last night, Alisha had high blood pressure and a lot of swelling, so we came in to the hospital, and she does have preeclampsia. Her blood pressure is high enough that the doctors want to induce her now. She is 33 weeks along, and although that is early, her doctor seems to think the baby should be ok.
She will be induced tonight at midnight, and should have the baby tomorrow. You can pray that he is average or above-average size for this age, which would mean he might not have to be in the hospital for as long afterwards.
This certainly wasn’t in our plan, but God has shown us that He knows better.
