We have come to the end of our furlough time and will be heading back to Asia Pacific next week. As we look back at all that has happened during these 9 months, we are grateful we had the chance to spend time with many of you, share at some new churches and see much of our family. Most of all, we are thankful for the new addition to our family, Desmond. We are thankful that there were no problems during the pregnancy and birth. He is growing well and ready move to his new home overseas. God really answered our prayers for him and Alisha during the pregnancy.
When we get back, we will keep homeschooling the older three kids through the end of this school year. After that, we plan on them returning to the international school they have attended for several years. Elroy is 16, Scout has just turned 15, Davie is 7 and Dezi is 4 months old. We will get back into our roles when we arrive, although we have to make a trip later in March to get some paperwork done for Dezi.
One new thing we are going to do in to order better communicate with our friends and supporters is send prayer requests and shorter updates through a Facebook Messenger group. For anyone who would like to join this group and see our prayer requests, videos and pictures, please direct message either Lincoln or Alisha in Messenger and we will add you to the group. At this point, this is only something we will be doing through the Messenger app.
As we look ahead at traveling next week, we ask that you would prayer for us…
-for Dezi to be comfortable and happy over the three flights and one car trip
-we can sleep well on our flights and get over jet lag soon
-we would all be healthy throughout the trip
