MOI Update – Loss of a Daughter

July 26, 2010 by Macon and Katy Hare

Aindo with her mother, Yidodeo.

“God, only you can truly heal. You are all powerful and existed before the foundation of the world. You have appointed our time of death and nothing can change that. Only you can save her if you want,” she prayed.

All through the night we could hear Yidodeo mourning for her dying 1 1/2 year old daughter. Early yesterday morning Tepaiye came and brought news Aindo had died.

Losing children is all too common here among the Moi, but it’s especially hard when they already have a name and can walk and play. Despite the sadness we have been greatly blessed to see the Moi Body of Christ reach out. They are joining them in their sorrow, and reminding them of the truths in God’s Word; that He controls our destiny and not the evil spirits; in His infinite wisdom He has not only given things that are easy, but suffering as well. They are speaking the raw truth, something which the Moi seem to appreciate.

Please pray for Puapobido and Yidodeo as they bury their youngest child Aindo. (report from Rich Brown)
