AN EXCITING UPDATE FROM MOI MISSIONARIES, RICH AND KAREN BROWN:
We were brought to tears yesterday as we saw all the people from all around Moi land come to hear the “Creator’s Talk”. Over 100 adults have come to hear the teaching and more than half of these people are hearing it for the first time. Those in attendance make up more than half of the Moi population within a days hike away. As they came we just stood in awe knowing that God was answering our prayers.
We want to thank you allfor praying for us and sending your notes of encouragement. God is doing some tremendous things here. I wish we could share them all with you. One of the biggest things is about the murder we spoke of in our last update. It has not escalated into war. Many of the clan members from Kaupiya’s (the victim’s) side are here including some of their “big men” or leaders. Though they culturally had the right to treat Awayo (one of the believers here) and his family as enemies they’ve instead just chosen to find fault with the killer, Iyaipupu. Something like this is pretty much unheard of among the Moi. One of their big men told me that Awayo and his brother Aboi are both different than their brother Iyaipupu. To us it was just another example of how the testimonies of the believers are impacting those around them. We have no doubt that this is the very reason so many have come to hear the teaching.

The Moi Bible teacher’s did really good today. Please keep praying for them. Pupuiye (far left) told us yesterday that he was so nervous that he thought he could die. Pretty funny. He taught this morning and did a great job with no evidence of nervousness. How neat to see them trusting God despite their fear. He’s going to use them mightily.
