“Carol’s computer is fixed and running.” Lindy Drake said with a big grin. “And we have a lot of people to thank for making this happen.”
The crew of the Tanaka boat carried the computer from the Drakes home in Brazil to the city of Manaus and back. Then missionaries John and Pat Sharp took the computer back and forth between the Tanaka boat and their field office.
In the USA, Dave Brendle, from NTM Micro Computer Deptartment. found and purchased a used screen for Lindy and Carol’s computer. Missionary Dave Sharp carried the screen back to Manaus when he traveled to Brazil with an NTM SUMMIT helps team. Lastly, NTM missionary tech, Phil Jansma put it all back together again and sent it to the Drakes in their tribal home.
“I thank every one of these people” Lindy said. “They all have a part in what God is doing among the Guanano people.”
Isn’t it amazing that God put each one in the right place, at the right time; moved them around from one country to another and from a city to a tribal village? It was all for one purpose; so the literacy work that Lindy’s wife, Carol, is doing could move forward; So tribal people can read and understand the Scriptures in their own language.
Does God care about His Word reaching every tribe, and every tongue in our lifetime? You bet He does. Because you prayed, you are a part of the ‘village’ that served God’s purpose. Thank you.
Like Lindy said, “Carol is happy and that makes me happy.”
Does it make you happy, too?
