We hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and good New Year! We are back at homeschooling. I don’t know if Ned ever did take a break. He finished “taping” the book of John in Tigak on December 26th. Please pray that he can finish transcribing the book and find people available for comprehension checking in the next two months. He would love to finish the book of John and have it consultant checked before we leave for home assignment but it is a very long book so chances are he will just get as much as he can done before Savannah’s graduation in May.
We enjoyed our Christmas but it was very rainy. This was Savannah’s last time to be at the home she has known since she was three years old. We had a Christmas service and meal with the believers on Christmas Day. We also enjoyed passing out candy to everyone on the island. All of our co-workers are currently in the USA so it was just the six of us at our house for the holidays.
Kara Linn has graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute (NTBI) and is back in Texas looking for a job to save money to pay for the final missionary training and to find supporters to stand behind her as she moves ahead into full time missions. Bethany has headed back to NTBI alone for her last semester. Josiah has registered for more college classes in Texas. So Linn’s parents have two of our kids living with them until we arrive this summer.
Please continue to pray for those who are in the Creation to Christ teaching – that they would remain faithful in attending and have clear understanding. Pray that it would not be raining at the time the meetings start each afternoon. And also, pray for Paska to make it back soon with his daughter who has been attending school in another area of PNG for several years.
