Last week Linn was attending school committee and other meetings and was notified that the first half of the new Tigak Scriptures had been printed! It worked out perfectly since she was headed back to the island the next day and was able to bring over 100 lbs of Bibles with her on the flight (as overweight luggage). The first book includes all the narratives that have been translated so far, so the Tigak received the book of John for the first time on Sunday. Hopefully by time the kids come home for school break in March the Epistles will be printed. It is always encouraging to see the Word of God placed in the hands of the Tigak people!!
Please be praying for Zachary’s wrist. Three months ago he sprained it pretty bad with a fall on a motorcycle. It is still causing him pain and keeping him from playing sports. There are no facilities for an MRI in PNG so if it doesn’t improve soon – it would require a trip out of country and possibly surgery. We are praying that it will improve soon with some physical therapy. We are thankful that he has access to doctors and a physical therapist while he is at school!
We would also appreciate your prayers for high school teachers for our kids for next year. Zachary will be a senior and we hope he will be able to take Calculus and Physics but taking this via correspondence courses would be a huge challenge!
Thank you for faithfully remembering us here in Papua New Guinea! We are thankful for technology that allows us to see (sometimes) and talk to our kids in the USA but it is hard watching our granddaughter grow so quickly and not be around. God is faithful to give us the grace we need for each day!
