Translating in the Tribe

October 16, 2016 by Ned and Linn Beall

Ned’s time in the Tigak tribe is going well. He was able to complete checking the Old Testament portions needed to teach from Creation to Christ for the Patpatar tribe for another translator. He will also be doing a check of some Exodus portions in Tigak for our co-worker, Aimee, this week. Please pray for Ned’s remaining time in the tribe to be very profitable. Pray that he would be able to get comprehension checking done on some of the remaining Epistles in Tigak. We so appreciate you taking the time to pray. It makes such a difference!

The Tigak church is studying through the book of John in depth for the very first time. We are excited to watch and see what the Lord has to teach them and challenge the believers with through the life of Christ.

Zachary celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday and our granddaughter, Valena, celebrated her 1st birthday on the 6th. It is fun to watch our kids grow up and a huge blessing to see them walking with the Lord. Pray for Zachary as he is applying to colleges and for scholarships. He is truly seeking what the Lord would have him do for college. He would like to have a degree that can be used on the mission field. Your prayers for our kids have been so vital over our years in PNG. We are missing some of Valena’s milestones – but look forward to having time with her next summer after Zachary’s high school graduation. The Lord is good!
