It was a bittersweet day for Zachary saying goodbye to his friends on the
island where he grew up. We moved to the tribe in 1999 right after
Zachary’s first birthday. It is hard to believe that was over 17 years
ago. We are proud of Zachary and the way the Lord is growing him up and
preparing him for life after high school. It is certainly a reminder to
enjoy every minute of time we have with our kids who are still at home. It
just doesn’t last long.
Please be praying for the Tigak church as they have an invitation to share
the Gospel on a nearby island. It is a great opportunity, but requires
quite a bit of planning and commitment to pull it off. They would teach 60+
lessons from Creation to Christ, canoeing several times a week to another
location. Our heart is that they would be burdened for those who don’t know
the Lord and that they would hunger to take advantage of every opportunity
that arises to share the Lord with more Tigak.
We just got word that our porch was broken into at our house on the island
but they were not able to break in to the whole house so what they got was
minimal. We are praying that our house would remain safe – and especially
our solar system would continue working while we are not there to monitor
things daily.
