We have had a busy but exciting month. The best news was our new grandson, Washington Lee Olson, was born on September 16th (which is also PNG Independence Day :)) He is doing well and his sister, Valena, is adjusting to sharing the attention. Valena had her 2nd birthday last week and it was fun to be here for the celebrations. We were also able to see all of our Tigak co-workers. Aimee came to see us in Fort Worth and the Martinez family was in Missouri when we were at the Missionary Training Center visiting Kara Linn and Anthony and speaking. It was a blessing to have time with them in the USA!
Ned is making good progress on the book of Matthew. He has an office set up in our bedroom so that he can get his hours in every day.
Please be praying for Linn’s next eye surgery on Monday morning, October 16th. We are praying that this will be the last surgery and she will have improved sight afterwards.
Also, please continue to pray for the Tigak church. We found out this week that a group on young adult boys have been getting into our house and stealing things. A couple of these guys were believers which is causing a big turmoil in the community. Pray for the church as they try to deal with this in a godly way.
