Happy New Year! The weeks just seem to fly by. We greatly appreciate your prayers. Ned continues to work full time on translation and is making good progress.
The first week of January we were able to visit our former coworkers, Tom and Beth Carlton, in Chihuahua, Mexico. It was such a blessing and encouragement to have a few days with them. We drove to El Paso and Tom picked us up and drove us in to Mexico. We were able to take care of several dental needs at a discount while we were there. Unfortunately we still have more dental needs to take care of over the next few months before returning to PNG. It was great to see firsthand what Ethnos 360 is doing in Mexico!
Our coworker, Noe Martinez, is currently on his way to visit the Tigak church. We are so thankful. We have heard some reports of “heavies” going on with various church members and are praying that Noe will be able to speak into whatever issues there are going on. He will also be able to see what is happening with our houses.
Savannah has begun work for the Fort Worth ISD as a math teacher. It is a challenge with four different classes to prep for and six class periods to teach. She is enjoying it so far!
We have all taken turns being sick over the last two months and it is getting very old. Please pray with us that we could get past being sick and have the energy to spend the time we need to visiting and sharing about the work among the Tigak. If any of you live in the DFW area, we will be speaking next Sunday, January 28th at FBC Euless International Sunday School class. We would love to see you!
