I am sure for many of you it does not feel like a Happy Thanksgiving if you aren’t able to get together with family! I am learning more every day to release my plans and allow God to do what He knows is best for our family. I love having a calendar with plans laid out, but this year is teaching all of us to have an open hand when it comes to clinging to OUR goals. I, Linn, was able to attend a missionary debrief time last week and was reminded how faithful the Lord has been to us over the past 20+ years, so why should I doubt His faithfulness in the midst of unknowns.
We are still trying to figure out how to get the Tigak Bible completely ready for printing and to the printer ASAP. We don’t see a clear path yet but are trusting that the Lord has a plan. Ned continues to make improvements to the Tigak Bible and is working on adding maps, charts or anything that might be an asset to the Tigak people in their Bible.
We also hope to be able to plan a trip to Papua New Guinea in the new year for Ned to complete translation checking for other translators. Again, many unknowns may make this impossible. We just don’t know. We are thankful that Ned has continued to be able to assist other translators via email even from afar! A huge praise is that Kara Linn and Anthony Haskins now have all their paperwork to head to PNG! They still would like to reach 100% support as soon as they can, but have been given a green light to buy tickets to head over. Finding flights is the hard part and finding flights that aren’t cancelled at the last minute is another difficulty. We would appreciate your prayers on their behalf!
Thank you for standing with us for the Tigak people! Praying that you can enjoy a time of Thanksgiving this week wherever you are!
