We made it! We arrived at the Missionary Training Center on July 1, and we are now settling in as permanent residents of Missouri. For the first time in a few years, we are unpacking with a greater sense of “permanency,” and we are really enjoying it. However, God has kept one thought on our mind: we cannot rest our security on plans or places here on Earth.
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20
We have a permanent residence that is already waiting for us! There is no pandemic, no suffering, no sin. Our perfect Savior has paved the way for us to enter a perfect home, and that is where we rest our hope.

Thank you for your prayers as we traveled and moved! The drive went very well, with no car or trailer trouble, and mostly happy kids (and adults!).

Nick has started working with the Grounds and Maintenance team here as they get the indoor and outdoor facilities ready for a new semester. Kathy is completing online childcare training before classes begin in August. On top of the usual training, there are new routines and protocols put in place due to coronavirus.
Please pray for the health and safety of the students and staff here as we begin a new semester. Pray that the social distancing procedures, self-monitoring checks, and increased cleaning can protect our community but not take away from time spent engaging with the training courses.
Kathy will start her ministry as a childcare teacher in August, when classes begin. As mentioned above, there are some changes to keep everyone healthy and safe, so pray for flexibility for Kathy and the staff she works with. Pray that she and the girls will adjust to new routines, and that Kathy can serve the families in training here in the ways that God provides.
We pray for you all and that God continues to give you wisdom in how you can share the Gospel with those around you. As we all continue to live in an unsettled and sin-struck world, let us continue to practically live out God’s truth and God’s hope with those around us. Let us know how we can pray for you!
Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.
