It has been an amazing semester at NTBI, studying through many of the New Testament epistles (letters), including Hebrews, Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, 1st and 2nd Peter, and several more!
One of the things that has impressed us the most is the reminder and exhortation by the instructors to keep this question in mind and heart as we study the Word, “Who is He?” We are not here primarily to learn facts and gain knowledge (yes, that is definitely included!), but what is the heart of our God? That we would KNOW Him… that we would know HIM. It is a relationship with a “Person”. This same concept must be forefront with tribal Church planting in view. It is not merely a ‘message’ that we are taking, but we are taking the person of Christ Jesus to souls that have not had any other opportunity to hear of Him!
And so, we press on studying the Word, getting to know our Almighty God and Redeemer!
Our Junior semester just ended on Thursday, and a couple hours after classes, we caught the Amtrak train to Chicago, where we spent the night at an airport hotel. At 10.15am Friday, our plane landed in Seattle, and we were warmly greeted by “Grandpa, Grandma, and Mama Mina.” We will be here for about a month, enjoying family and getting together with various friends, as well as worshiping and fellowshipping with our Church bodies here in Seattle.
After NTBI? We have our sights set on New Tribes Mission’s Missionary Training Center (MTC) for next August. If you’re interested in hearing more about that, or would like to consider partnering with us in taking the Gospel to the unreached, please contact us!
Lastly, if you’d like to receive our newsletter and e-newsletters, please contact us with your address and/or email address.
It is our prayer for you that you also will seek to know HIM more, even as we look back in wonder and thanksgiving at His birth some 2000 years ago, which ‘paved the way’ for His death and resurrection on our behalf. He was punished, He died, for our sins. And He was raised to life that we also may have eternal life, and walk in newness of life today! Indeed- Glory to God in the highest!
