The End Is In Sight

Most of our paper work is done, our yellow fever shots are taken, grants are written….and now we are headed into the last leg of our adoption journey.  We accepted a referral for a 2 1/2 year old girl on April 23 and may be travelling soon to meet her.  We can’t give specifics online yet, but as soon as the adoption is complete, there will be many pictures!!!!  I tried to convince Paul to let me call this blog “tribal Swensons”, but the fact is- she’s the only one from our family who is really from a tribal group.  She is from a clan that descends from the ancient Asante (or Ashanti) Kingdom of West Africa.  Pretty cool.  Our little African princess will be home soon!  -Ellen
