Hi all!
Just a regular old day here. Spent a lot of it with our little girl at the hotel. Our first couple of friends flew home today and a new couple came. Very fun to have other adoptive parents around. We all will be going to court together to officially adopt our kids TOMORROW! Yeah!! Our little girl continues to feel more and more comfortable with us and we are learning her likes, dislikes, when she is hyper/disobedient (right before a nap), etc.
I ate a fish today whole! Well, it was served to me whole and I gather that the head is a delicacy but I was too full by the time I got to the head. It and Paul’s meal came with palvola sauce (not spelled right I’m sure). It’s made with spinach but I think it tastes like a spicy lasagna. He had his with yams (real yams- they are really like potatoes- our yams are really just light colored varieties of sweet potato- really, look it up). Excellent food, we’ve liked everything we’ve tried. I hear that there is smoked grass cutter (ground hog like animal) sold by the road sides on the way to court though!!!! We actually were told not to eat road side food so even though I wouldn’t mind trying the country’s more interesting meals, I’ll have to pass. Anyway, pray for tomorrow. You’ll read this tonight but our little girl may be a Swenson before you wake up. Don’t worry boys, we’ll call you with the results in the morning if court is done by then.
By the way, we met local movie stars Yesturday. They were filming (I think a soap opera). We talked to some of the crew.
Have a nice night.
Ellen
