Worth The Wait

November 15, 2013 by Paul and Ellen Swenson

The journey of adopting a child from overseas is full of many ups and downs. A journey of things happening quickly and then seemingly stopping. This process has taught me a lot about how I need to be patiently waiting for God’s timing in all things. It is with great joy that I wait these last couple of days before we leave to bring our daughter home! I don’t know what it’s like to be the father of a daughter, but if it’s anything like being the father of sons it is going to be awesome! Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers all along the journey. Please continue to pray for us as we travel this week and pray for a good transition for Emmanuella as she’ll be going from the equatorial climate to winter in Vermont….not exactly 85 degrees! Also pray for Emmanuella as she has a respiratory infection right now. -Paul
