Our first Kodiak is now flying in Papua New Guinea!! On December 1st it took off with its first missionaries and cargo. It had a busy first week of operation transporting over 20 missionaries and 2500 lbs of cargo!! Thanks for praying! Next year we are planning to do this all over again with two more Kodiaks that the Lord has provided! So please continue to pray as our pilots are trained and we slowly transition out of our current fleet of Cessna 206s.
Wanted: Aircraft Mechanics
Since we have returned to PNG (19 months ago) we have seen the Lord provide not one but FOUR new pilots. PLUS we expect to hear any day if Jon Leedahl has been approved to come back to PNG and fly using his prosthetic leg. One thing we are still trusting the Lord for is more mechanics. Paul and the guys in the hangar are already short staffed and are in bad need of some fresh help. Thankfully there are folks in the pipe line heading this way. (One family is Imie & Amy Mark….from our home church, South Potomac Church.) Would you join us in praying for more mechanics (engineers on this side of the world)? If He can provide 3 Kodiaks and 5 new pilots, we can trust that He will provide the mechanics we need. Also please pray for the current maintenance team….that they would have wisdom as they learn the new Kodiaks and balance their time to avoid burn out.
Merry Christmas to you all. We are so blessed to have you as a part of our support team….praying for us in this spiritual battle. Many folks in PNG are celebrating their first Christmas as brothers and sisters in Christ. Many more have not heard…may we keep pressing on!!
