with New Tribes Mission in
Papua New Guinea.
Today Paul and Roz are serving at New Tribes Mission’s US Headquarters where Paul serves as Director of Stewardship Development and Roz serves part-time as a receptionist.
Looking back over our 28 years in Papua New Guinea, there is one word that expresses our feelings about our time in that diverse but beautiful land. Privileged!
Our first 15 years in Papua New Guinea were invested in the lives of the Fore people. Before leaving PNG in May of 2001 we visited the Fore. It was wonderful to be reunited with our Fore friends. During our brief visit we spent 6 wonderful hours with the believers. Yani, Ayako, Nonte, Aeta and their families were among the first to accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior when we first shared the Gospel with them many years ago. While we were there, Tukabi, Ayako’s son shared, "Thank you for coming and telling my father because he taught me and now I know the Lord too." Thrilling!
During our last 10 years in Papua New Guinea the Lord gave us the incredible opportunity to serve with other staff and faculty on the Interface Campus. Over a 1000 students have studied missions at Interface. Students have attended from 16 different countries representing more than 100 different colleges. Today many Interface alumni are in training with New Tribes Mission and many others are already serving in 15 different countries among many different people groupls. It’s thrilling to hear how the Lord is using them to share the Good News of the Gospel with those who have never heard before. Rewarding!
