Payton decided that it was better to skip the crying and slurp out a message in them mess. Um…I really can’t find a way to transition into another subject, I just wanted to put this picture up here. Anyway, I’ve kept busy working at the Glen serving teas and working all sorts of meals. I spend a lot of time in General Palmer’s Music Room and Library (this is a picture of the music room). I’ve had a lot of fun serving with old friends (and some new ones) and enjoyed all of the great conversations!
We just finished SSQ VBS at ABEFC, all while working at GE and…okay, I’ll stop with the acronyms, but still, it was a great week!! We had about 160 kids every day and 60 or so staff/helpers. I wasn’t sure what to expect as this seemed like quite a production, but it was very focused and intentional when it came to presenting truth and the gospel. I had the blessing of watching God draw two of them to Himself throughout the week! All of the exhaustion of the week paled when I got to see God working with eternity in mind.
God’s continued to provide for us (sometimes in very surprising ways) and both of us have been learning to seek the Lord for our daily bread, not looking for more, but asking Him to meet our specific needs as they come. I hope that this will become a pattern of depending on God for more and looking to Him each day. (Don’t worry, we have plenty of food–we just want to trust Him more and less on our own abilities/money).
