We are down to three more weeks to go to complete the first Mwinika Literacy Class. There are ten people – 2 women and 8 men – who are nearing graduation. We just finished primer 3 and are starting into primer 4 on Monday. A lot of work needs to be done developing post readers for these people to continue on with. Some of these will be stories from the Bible, such as the Joseph Story, which is now ready for print and books to help them understand better the Word of God – for example: Animals of the Bible and Plants of the Bible. We hope to also put together small health booklets and other helpful information as well as short story books. Keep praying for these folks that they will soon realize the significance of being able to read God’s Word in their own language!
