Homeschooling in the Heat

October 16, 2010 by Phil and Elin Henderson

With temps soaring to the triple digits in the shade these days, school can be a little draining for us all! 🙂 But, we are getting through the days and looking forward to a little break coming up!

Overall the kids are doing really well. School takes up their mornings and then they play all afternoon. Elias can’t get enough soccer and is out the door as soon as I give him the okay. Having to do a lot of reminding to stay hydrated! Then there is the scrubbing to get the dust, sweat and grime off afterwards! Callie is more of our homebody but does get out with her friends too. Some days she goes with me on my walks in the late afternoon.
