LESSON DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

January 16, 2011 by Phil and Elin Henderson

Lesson Development. It’s huge! We had little idea of the magnitude of this task. I began by doing a very rough draft on several lessons. Since then our teammate Francois Hattingh has taken over the bulk of the lesson development. Both of us have found that it is a lot more involved than we had initially thought it would be. It is one thing to create lessons, but it is another thing to create lessons in another language on topics of the utmost importance. This is made even more difficult by the fact that our audience has been trained to oppose many of the key elements we need to communicate. It makes for slow difficult work. The process is moving along but not as fast as we had anticipated. We wanted to start teaching sooner but have had to weigh the urgency with the realization that communication needs to be clear and careful. So we haven’t started teaching yet. We still don’t have a firm date yet when we will begin.

Please continue to pray for Francois and his team of helpers (pictured) as they prepare the lessons.
